Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms" or "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the Panjaangam mobile application, website (Panjaangam.co.in), and associated services (collectively, the "Services"). By downloading, installing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, retention, and local device caching of your information (including precise geolocation, contact details, and telemetry) are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. License & Intellectual Property

• Proprietary Rights: All ephemeris calculations, astronomical algorithms, media assets, voice recordings, audio tracks, UI designs, code, and trademarks belong exclusively to Panjaangam, its creator(s), and its authorized licensors or recording artists.
• Limited License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Usage Restrictions: You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, extract source code, scrape, or systematically harvest astrological tables, panchangam data, audio streams, or user directories via automated scripts, bots, or crawlers.

3. Audio Content Usage & Broadcast Restrictions

All audio tracks, voice notes, daily panjaangam summaries, chants, and recordings made available via the Services (collectively, "Audio Content") are the proprietary intellectual property of Panjaangam and its recording artists/contributors. By accessing our Audio Content, you agree to the following terms:

• Strictly Private Use: Audio Content is licensed exclusively for personal, private, individual listening by the registered account holder.
• No Public Performance or Amplification: You may not play, perform, or stream the Audio Content in public venues, temples, halls, commercial spaces, or gatherings. Transmission or playback through Public Address (PA) systems, loudspeakers, or venue sound equipment is strictly prohibited.
• No Digital Re-broadcast or Syndication: You may not capture, record, upload, syndicate, stream, or redistribute Audio Content on any online medium, including but not limited to social media networks, messaging groups (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram), YouTube, podcasts, or file-sharing portals.
• Prior Written Consent Required: Any commercial use, redistribution, public playback, or broadcast requires prior explicit written agreement and licensing from Panjaangam. Unauthorized reproduction or broadcast constitutes copyright infringement and will result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action.

4. User Accounts & Acceptable Use

To ensure security and service integrity, you agree to the following commitments:

• Account Accuracy: You will provide accurate, current, and complete registration information (including mobile number or email) during authentication.
• Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and active device sessions.
• Prohibited Actions: You will not transmit malware, disrupt server operations, bypass security controls, or abuse API endpoints.

5. Subscription, Billing & Device Limitations

1. Single-Device Access: Each paid subscription tier or purchase is tied to the registered mobile number / email ID and is licensed for concurrent use on one (1) active mobile device at a time.
2. No Refunds: All purchases and digital subscriptions made through the app or platform stores (such as Google Play / Apple App Store) are final and non-refundable. Temporary media delivery delays or routine server synchronization gaps do not constitute grounds for chargebacks or refunds.
3. Pricing & Taxes: Subscription pricing is subject to change with prior notice. Where applicable, prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST) or relevant local digital services taxes.
4. Connectivity Requirements: While localized data and audio caches may operate offline temporarily, periodic online connectivity is mandatory for license verification, ephemeris data synchronization, and media streaming.

6. Service Availability, Delivery Schedules & Ritual Disclaimers

• Best-Effort Delivery: Daily audio broadcasts, planetary transition updates (such as Chandraashtamam), and festival tracks are published on a best-effort schedule (e.g., daily target by 6:00 AM IST or dynamic planetary shift times). Stated delivery times are operational estimates and are not guaranteed service-level commitments.
• No Ritual Warranty: Daily panjaangam summaries and audio feeds are intended solely for educational, cultural, and spiritual reference. We expressly disclaim any liability for missed auspicious windows, ritual delays, or perceived spiritual or personal detriment.
• Astronomical Calculations: Planetary coordinates, muhurtham indications, and calendar outputs are derived from traditional qualitative models and precise location coordinates. We make no warranties regarding personal, financial, health, or astrological outcomes derived from using this data.

7. Infrastructure Dependencies & Technical Outages

The delivery of data and streaming media relies on third-party cloud hosting infrastructure, automated scheduler jobs, content delivery networks (CDNs), and telecommunication networks. Panjaangam shall not be held liable or considered in breach of contract for any delay, corruption, or delivery failure caused by upstream cloud infrastructure outages, automated job execution delays, DNS failures, or routine scheduled maintenance.

8. Account Termination & Deletion

You may terminate your account and wipe your personal data at any time:

• In-App Deletion: Navigate to Profile > Delete My Account. This initiates an immediate purge of your cloud profile, revokes tokens, and clears local cached preferences on your device.
• Manual Support: You may send a deletion request to contactus@panjaangam.co.in, processed within 7 business days.
• Suspension by Panjaangam: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in API abuse.

9. Limitation of Liability & "As Is" Provision

The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Panjaangam, its developers, recording artists, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Services, or from delays/failures in updating daily media assets.
• Under no circumstances shall our total aggregate liability exceed the total amount paid by you to Panjaangam in the one (1) month immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or ₹100 INR in the case of free-tier access).

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the State of Tamil Nadu. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India.
